Sometimes a new website build goes like a dream, and that’s exactly how it happened for the brand new BIL Logistics website.
While it’s true that we often learn important lessons from problems that we encounter along the way, there’s a heck of a lot to learn from the smooth ones too.
What was it about the BIL Logistics website project that made it such a pleasure? We can boil it down to three critical elements…
A clear path
Our account manager provided a clear schedule and gathered all of the information that we needed from the client right at the start of the process.
Preparation, preparation, preparation… these three things always save a lot of time, money and stress when the real work begins.
After a quick edit by our copywriter, the content from the client was the same content that appeared on the site, with minimal changes during the process.
Having the words and pictures approved before we began the building process avoided the costly and time-consuming amendments that so often crop up at the last minute (a big thanks to our friends at BIL Logistics for that!).
Designed for web
Every page was prepared by our graphic design team before it got within tickling distance of our programmers; not only the desktop website, but the mobile and tablet versions as well.
By designing specifically for web and its various formats, we could build a responsive website without unexpected glitches or hiccups.
We’re sure that BIL Logistics will enjoy their new website and, more importantly, that it will work for their business. We’re really looking forward to consolidating the launch by working on lots of creative marketing projects together, so it’s onwards and upwards for both of us.
And it’s always nice to have a reminder of an important fact– that preparation is the key to a successful outcome and a lovely website!
