A twinkling tree, sparkling lights, the smell of warm mince pies and Secret Santa presents under the tree – Christmas is just a few days away and IceBlue is feeling festive.
Christmas is a time of family, love, goodwill and giving. So this year we have decided to donate the money we would normally spend on Christmas presents to our clients and suppliers, to two incredibly worthwhile charities Operation Santa in the Black Country and Save The Children.
A staggering 15,000+ children in Dudley live below the poverty line and face a bleak Christmas with no presents to open and little to celebrate. It is through Operation Santa, an annual toy and food appeal run by Dudley Council for Voluntary Service (Dudley CVS), that these children can receive presents, have a Christmas dinner and experience the excitement of being a child at Christmas.
The appeal has been putting smiles on the faces of disadvantaged children for a number of years and is funded purely by the generosity of kind-hearted businesses and members of the public.
We collected hundreds of pounds worth of toys for this worthwhile cause and delivered them to the charity’s Dudley office last Friday.
Official Christmas Jumper Day for Save The Children
We also indulged in the Christmas jumper day on Friday 16th December for Save The Children.
